"Bedicahut Hadaat" in Hebrew means "pushing knowledge to its limits". It is Jewish humour in its essence, know-how used by the sages of the Talmud to attract the attention of their students but especially to teach them deep notions (Shabbat 30b). Later and until today the rabbis and other scholars use this Jewish humor at weddings to entertain the brides and guests. They are called "Badshanim". This humor not only makes laugh but also conveys an optimistic vision of the future, so its message is doubly beneficial to the bride and groom.

In the first stage the Bad的hanout amuses and makes laugh, in the second stage it teaches and nourishes the mind. We laugh for a moment and then we think a long time.
